Presentation instructions
Oral presentations
  • We will schedule about 60 oral presentations.
  • All oral presentations at the conference are in English. There will be no simultaneous translation.
  • Please check the final programme for the time of your presentation.
  • The total time allocated for each presentation is 20 minutes,(2 invited keynotes of 40 minute), including 15 minutes for presentation, 4 minutes for questions and discussion, and 1 minute transition time between presentations. Please be considerate to your fellow speakers and respect your allocated time.
  • We propose that the two invited keynotes, one will be from the academic community, and the other will be from the R&D or consultancy community.
  • The lecture room is equipped with a computer, three beamers, three screens, and a pointer.
  • Presentation files may be in *.pdf (recommended) or *.ppt(x) format. Note that it is not allowed to use own notebook computers for the presentation to ensure a smooth transition between speakers.
  • All oral presentations must be pre-loaded onto the conference server in the speaker ready room at least 12 hours prior to your talk. Presenters whose presentation contains animations, videos, audio fragments, or special effects are strongly encouraged to test it before their session starts. A Windows PC, identical to the one in the presentation room, LCD projector, and screen is available for previewing your presentation at the speaker ready room. All computers run Windows 10 and have the following software installed: Microsoft PowerPoint, Acrobat Reader, and VLC Media Player.
  • There will be NO in-room facilities for loading presentations.
  • We recommend presenters to arrive at the conference room at least 10 minutes prior to the start of their session, and to sit in a front row as to lessen transition time between presentations.
  • Please make your presence known to the session chair before your session starts, and be present during the entire session in which your presentation is scheduled.
  • Please do not include commercial information in your presentation.

Poster presentations

We will schedule about 40 posters
Three poster sessions are organized with 12 to 13 posters each.
Posters will be on A0 size (portrait orientation, 1189 mm high and 841 mm wide) and can be prepared in free format.
Each presenter is responsible for printing his/her own poster. IWRN14 does not provide poster printing services.
Please check the final programme for the time of your poster presentation.
All posters must be displayed during the lunch break preceding the poster session. Posters will be displayed on panels that accommodate A0 size. We will provide presenters with gum/strips to attach their poster. Posters should be removed the following day during the morning coffee break.
Each poster will be introduced during a rapid fire presentation with maximum 2 slides. The total time allocated for each poster is 3 minutes, including 2 minutes for presentation and 1 minute transition time between presentations.
